Our approach

How we work in this area

Clinical Pilates is different from gym Pilates because it starts with a physiotherapy assessment. Before planning your class, we get to know your history of pain, your routine and your limitations, and that's what decides which exercises are in and which are left out.

Groups are kept small precisely so there's room for individual correction. Doing the movement correctly matters more than doing lots of repetitions, and people with a history of herniated discs, surgery or chronic pain need that attention.

It works both for people who want to prevent pain and for those who have just finished treatment and don't want to go back to square one.

What we treat

Common reasons people come to us

  • Back pain prevention

Core strengthening and spinal mobility for people who sit all day.

  • Continuing after treatment

Maintaining the strength and mobility gained during physiotherapy.

  • Posture

Body awareness and correcting the habits that overload the neck and lower back.

  • Flexibility and mobility

Gaining range of motion without pushing a joint beyond what it can handle.

  • Low-impact conditioning

An alternative for people with joint restrictions who can't do high-impact activity.

  • Pilates during pregnancy and after birth

Exercises adapted to each stage, with a prior assessment and medical clearance.

Step by step

How treatment works

  1. Initial assessment

The first session is a conversation and an exam. We get to know your complaint, your history, any imaging tests you have and what you need to get back to doing in your daily life.

  2. Treatment plan

Based on the assessment, we put together a plan with clear goals, setting how often you'll come in and what you'll also do at home.

  3. Supervised sessions

Every session takes place with a physiotherapist present, correcting your technique and adjusting the load according to how you respond to treatment.

  4. Reassessment

Every so often we measure pain, strength and movement again to see whether the plan is working or needs to change.

Frequently asked questions

Questions we often hear

  • I've never done Pilates. Can I start?

Yes. Your exercise level comes from the assessment, so beginners start with the basics and progress as they gain control.

  • How is it different from gym Pilates?

The physiotherapy assessment before you start, the size of the group and the fact that classes are led by a physiotherapist. In practice, that means exercises chosen for your condition, not the same class for everyone.

  • I have a herniated disc. Can I do it?

In most cases, yes, with careful exercise selection. Some movements are removed and others take their place. This is decided during the initial assessment.
